Bank of the Ozarks makes a home in New York City on Park Avenue in an office inside the unofficially named Helmsley Building.
Not much has been written about the loan production office opened by Bank of the Ozarks in New York City, a decision that was announced last summer, so your Whispers staff thinks it’s time to introduce readers to the classy digs.
The office is on the 10th floor of the 35-story 230 Park Avenue building in Manhattan, built in 1929 as the headquarters of the New York Central Railroad. The stunning Art Deco masterpiece was granted landmark status in 1987 when it was owned by Harry Helmsley, a legendary real estate investor married to the equally legendary Leona Helmsley (the Queen of Mean, “only the little people pay taxes”).
That connection accounts for the building’s other moniker: the Helmsley Building.
