Dr. Marc Denton Stam has been hired by Baptist Health in Fort Smith, joining its cardiothoracic and vascular surgery center. Stam previously worked at the center before leaving in 2018. Dakota Young, an advanced practice registered nurse, has been promoted and will provide care for Stam’s patients. Young was previously working as a nurse manager.

Amanda Cheatham has joined the Washington Regional hospitalists group. Cheatham is an advanced practice registered nurse and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and her Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Alabama.

Jeff McLain 135100

Jeff McLain has been named by Pafford Medical Services of Hope as an on-duty supervisor for its Saline County ambulance operations. McLain also serves as Saline County chief deputy coroner and is a national registered paramedic. 

Fermin Renteria, Teresa Whited 135100

Fermin Renteria, an assistant professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, and Teresa Whited, associate professor and associate dean for academic programs in the College of Nursing, have been selected to take part in leadership programs through the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Renteria was named to the Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing Program. Whited was selected to attend the Wharton Executive Leadership Program.
