Mackenzie Clyburn has been promoted to vice president of hospital operations at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, and Dr. David Shenker has been promoted to chief medical officer.
Jaret Rushing has been named a forestry extension instructor by the UA System Division of Agriculture. He will be part of the extension team of the Arkansas Forest Resources Center housed at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He previously served as a staff chair with the UA Cooperative Extension Service.
Rebecca Glazier, a professor in the School of Public Affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has been awarded the Distinguished Award for Civic & Community Engagement from the American Political Science Association for her work with the Little Rock Congregations Study, a research project she founded to engage students in research with places of worship in Little Rock.
Adam C. Flock, an attorney with RMP LLP in Little Rock, was recently named an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.
Conrad Odom, Chad Owens and Russell Winburn have joined Taylor King Law of Little Rock. Odom and Winburn, both previously with the Odom Law Firm, will serve in the Springdale office. Owens, previously a public defender, will serve in the Jonesboro office.
Shana Chaplin has been hired as chief program officer at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute of Little Rock. In her new role, Chaplin will develop and lead programs and education services that fulfill the vision of the institute and work with the CEO as a member of the institute’s executive leadership team. She previously was director of Engage Arkansas.
Hayley Cormican has been hired as health associate at Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families of Little Rock. In her new role, Cormican will assist AACF’s health policy director in promoting public policies that improve health care coverage, access and quality for Arkansas’s children and families. Additionally, Pete Gess has been hired as economic policy director. Gess previously was a professor of politics and environmental policy at Hendrix College.
