Doug Weeks, Duane Erwin Take New Roles at Baptist Health

1 min read

The Baptist Health system said Tuesday that Doug Weeks, previously executive vice president and chief operating officer, is now executive vice president of strategy and innovation.

The system said that, in the newly created role, Weeks will oversee “overall system strategy deployment” and will continue to lead all of Baptist’s partnership and collaborative efforts.

Weeks will also serve as corporate administrative officer, overseeing Arkansas Health Group, human resources, information technology, strategic development, governmental relations, the Baptist Health Foundation, Parkway Village and community outreach.

The system also said it had re-established the job of senior vice president of hospital operations. Duane Erwin will fill that role, overseeing Baptist’s hospitals in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Conway, Malvern, Arkadelphia, Heber Springs and Stuttgart.

Erwin joined Baptist last week. Before that, he was as CEO of Aspirus Inc. of Wausau, Wisconsin, a six-hospital health system, until his retirement in 2013.
