The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce said Tuesday that Citizens Bank will present the area’s first Women in Business Leadership Conference in October.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College in Batesville.
The chamber said it expects the conference “to become the region’s new forum to promote women’s personal and professional development and advancement.” The chamber wants the event to “inspire women to seek their highest level of personal and professional growth by presenting participants with mentors, varying perspectives, and strategies for success.”
“What I am most excited about is the fact that the conference will introduce and encourage the concept of mentorship among women in our community,” Jamie Beck, the chamber’s director of programs and events, said in a news release. “We want to create a forum for learning about the power of women uniting.”
The conference will include a keynote message, roundtable discussions, networking opportunities, and a session showing local vendors. It will also feature advice for beginning in business, lessons for emerging leaders, practical exercises for advancing in business, and non-traditional business and venture idea exchanges.
You can register by contacting Beck at (870) 793-2378 or at Jamie.beck@mybatesville.org. Registration deadline is Oct. 1.
