Bella Vista has been named the 2013 eCity for Arkansas by Google.
Google’s eCity awards recognize the strongest online business community in each state.
Winners were determined by Google and independent research firm Ipsos based on the online strength of local small businesses in each state.
Google calls its state winners the “new digital capitals of America.” It credits the winners with using the Internet to find new customers, connect with existing ones and fuel their local economies.
“Bella Vista’s growth and innovation in e-commerce is an example that other cities across the state can strive to replicate,” said Scott Levitan, Director of Small Business Engagement at Google, in a news release. “Google is proud to recognize this growing entrepreneurial spirit and the role it plays in creating jobs and sustaining local economies.”
