The Bentonville Farmers Market recorded $2.9 million in sales this season, breaking a record for the third consecutive year, Downtown Bentonville Inc. announced in a news release Wednesday.
The market was held on Saturdays at Bentonville Square over a 29-week period between April 13 and Oct. 26. Weekly sales averaged $100,000.
“Our community has shown unwavering support of our local vendors, reaffirming the vital role that our Farmers Market plays in connecting and strengthening our community,” Dylan Taylor, manager of the Bentonville Farmers Market, said in the release. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this milestone and kept the Bentonville Farmers Market thriving year in and year out.”
Downtown Bentonville Inc. also announced that the farmers market will continue indoors during the winter months. Fifteen markets will be held from Nov. 23 to March 15 at Record in downtown Bentonville.
