Since Arkansas Business and Best Places to Work launched its workplace recognition program in 2013, five companies have won each year. Perks that help make them repeat winners below:
Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield
Staff with aging family have access to an employer-sponsored eldercare assistannce, such as transporation to medical appointments or meal deivery, information about financial resources, or counseling support for caregiver stress.
CaseStack
Employee referrals are encouraged within the organization, and all employees are eligible for this program. Employees receive a $2,000 incentive for qualifying referrals that remain with the company for over a year.
Delta Dental of Arkansas
Company leadership solicits feedback from an Employee Steering Committee, made up of representatives from each department. The body meets every other month with the CEO and the vice president of human resources.
Rockfish
Family leave for employees welcoming a new child is offered, plus the company assists with agency and travel fees, legal assistance and other adoption-related costs
St. Bernards Medical Center
Gift wrapping at Christmas and turkeys for Thanksgiving are free. Children of employees are treated, along with their parents, to a night out at a local theater with Santa and Disney Characters.
