Best Places to Work: Conway Regional Health System

2 min read

Conway Regional Health System believes that focusing on a culture of family and teamwork results in a positive place to work for employees, which in turn facilitates great performance.

CITY: Conway
EMPLOYEES: 1,202
INDUSTRY: Health Care

The culture is best illustrated by the system’s brand promise “To be bold, exceptional and called.”

Conway Regional seeks to help staff realize the alignment between their values and the system’s mission by seeing their identity in their work and taking pride in the story.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the system cared for its employees in numerous ways, including expanded working from home, relaxed dress codes, voluntary leaves of absence, expanding staff where needed, providing free child care, free meals, no layoffs and stress relief services including yoga, massages and free snacks.

The Clinical Congress allows representatives of all departments to meet monthly and provide input on their work, policies, recognition, quality improvement, clinical issues and more. Career development opportunities exist in the form of tuition reimbursement, Clinical Ladder and clinical certification programs.

Recognition includes the One Team Rewards, a program that rewards employees using a social media platform to award points that can be redeemed for prizes of employees’ choosing. There is also Exceptional Performer recognition and the quarterly Daisy and Bee awards program for top caregivers who go above and beyond in their jobs.

Popular stress busters and perks include a concierge service, relaxation room with massage chairs, themed team contests like Halloween chili cook-offs and monthly surprise events for day and night shifts.
