Delta Dental of Arkansas is the largest provider of dental benefits in the state, but it provides for its employees too.

On the first day of the second month of employment, employees have access to Delta Dental’s health care plan. The company covers 75-99 percent of the premium for medical coverage for the employee and their dependents and 100 percent of the premium for dental, vision, life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage. Delta Dental also offers annual flu shots, biometric screenings and numerous wellness events.

Employees receive recognition through various programs, such as the online STAR program, where employees can thank coworkers for their great work. There are employee of the month and year programs that come with recognition, incentives and perks for winners. The human resource team provides more than 50 recognitions throughout the year, including treats, luncheons and gifts.

To relieve workplace stress, departments rotate responsibility for a treat day every other week. They come up with a creative breakfast spread or snacks for all employees. Other events include costume contests and pumpkin decorating at Halloween, trivia contests and raffles, company picnics and water park events for families.
