Big Brothers Big Sisters Toast & Roast To Honor Nolan Richardson

Former Arkansas Razorback basketball coach Nolan Richardson will be the subject of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas’ 40th annual Toast & Roast on Aug. 21.

The event will be held at Embassy Suites Hotel, at 11301 Financial Centre Parkway in Little Rock. It includes a reception with cash bar and a silent auction, which begins at 6 p.m., and a dinner, live auction and program that starts at 7 p.m.

Featured roasters include Mike Anderson, the current Razorbacks basketball coach and former assistant under Richardson, and Todd Day and Pat Bradley, both former Arkansas Razorbacks who played for Richardson.

Richardson won 389 games in 17 seasons at Arkansas, and led the program to three NCAA Final Four appearances and one national championship. He is a member of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

All proceeds from the night go toward Big Brothers Big Sisters, which has raised more than $1.3 million in the history of the event. For more information, email JJones@BBBSCA.org.
