George Burks
Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield has named George Burks as vice president of its group market segment.
Burks joined Blue Cross in 2014 as a sales manager for the east region of Arkansas. Most recently, he served as lead executive of the group market segment, a role in which he was responsible for marketing and membership growth for all large and small group business, as well as ancillary products.
He previously spent 20 years with USAble Life Insurance and held the position of regional vice president of sales for the west region.
Burks holds a bachelor’s in business management from the University of
Arkansas at Little Rock. He is the chair of the UA-Little Rock Scholarship Foundation Board and serves on the boards of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame and the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame.
