The Arkansas Northeastern College Board of Trustees has named June Walters interim president of the two-year college in Blytheville. The action came during a meeting Wednesday night.
Walters will fill in as the college searches for a replacement for President Robin L. Myers, who has taken the position as chancellor of Arkansas State University at Mountain Home beginning Aug. 1. Myers will replace William "Ed" Coulter, who is retiring.
Before being named interim president, Walters served as executive vice president at ANC. Her official start date as interim president has yet to be determined.
