BNSF Logistics Building Sold in SpringdaleLock Icon

$8.3 million.

That was the sum a California real estate management company paid for the 27,465-SF BNSF Logistics office building in Springdale.

National Asset Services of Los Angeles, led by CEO and founder Karen Kennedy, purchased the second of two BNSF buildings just off Interstate 49 at 2708 S. 48th St. on Dec. 4.

NAS received a $5.4 million loan from the Swiss investment bank UBS AG in New York City to help with the purchase.

The seller was BNSF Office 2 LLC, led by Brian Shaw, the CEO of the brokerage division at Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners in Rogers. Shaw purchased the land, nearly 3 acres, for $1.2 million from the Ozark Guidance Center Foundation in early 2018.

The building is next door to the first BNSF building, slightly larger at 30,300 SF, which NAS bought for $8.17 million in January 2019. Shaw bought that property for $919,000 in 2015 — also from Ozark Guidance.

The buildings are the northwest Arkansas headquarters for BNSF Railway Co. of Fort Worth, Texas.
