Windstream Corp. of Little Rock on Wednesday added the role of treasurer to Bob Gunderman’s duties. Gunderman is already the telecommunication firm’s senior vice president of financial planning.
“Bob has been managing our treasury function for a little over a year now, including overseeing the execution of more than $4 billion in capital market transactions, and he has done an excellent job,” Tony Thomas, Windstream’s chief financial officer, said in a news release. “Going forward, he and I will continue to work closely together to strengthen Windstream’s risk profile by reducing leverage, lowering interest expense and maintaining ample liquidity.”
Gunderman oversees all capital budgeting, forecasting, treasury and capital market functions, debt management, investor relations and risk management. He was vice president of internal audit for Alltel Corp. before joining Windstream in 2008.
Also Wednesday, Windstream declared a 25-cent quarterly dividend. The company will announce quarterly earnings on Thursday.
