Little Rock Technology Park Executive Director Brent Birch is trading silicon for soil, joining rural land investment firm Lile Real Estate of Little Rock as director of marketing and as a sales agent.
Lile Real Estate announced the hire Wednesday, a day after Birch revealed plans to leave the Tech Park.
Birch has been the only direct employee of the downtown hub for nearly 12 years. He will help with the leadership transition before starting his new job.
The Tech Park is launching a search for the organization’s next leader, with a hiring timeline of around 45–60 days.
As editor of Greenhead magazine, an Arkansas Business Publishing Group publication, Birch is a well-known voice in the local waterfowling community. He is also the co-host of “The Standard Sportsman” duck hunting podcast and manages a waterfowl-focused farm in Arkansas County near Humphrey.
His background gives him firsthand insight into the land stewardship values important to many Lile clients, the company said in a news release. Lile specializes in agricultural, recreational and timberland properties.
Lile is led by Chairman & CEO Gar Lile.
Growing Team
Birch is one of four new hires the company announced, an expansion aimed at growing the firm’s capabilities and strengthening its regional presence.
Dustin Roddy of Cache River Farms joins the firm as executive broker. He brings a background in land management and development in east Arkansas, with deep expertise in the Cache River corridor.
Craig Bonsall joins Lile as a sales agent. He is a former CFO with a background in finance, accounting and land development.
Walter Morris was hired as a sales agent, partnering with his son Trey, who works from the company’s office in Oxford, Mississippi. He is a former small business owner and entrepreneur with experience in banking, land management and real estate.
