Ashlea Brown has been promoted from associate corporate counsel to executive vice president and corporate counsel at Nabholz Construction of Conway. She succeeds Corporate Counsel Andrea Woods, who resigned to pursue a Master of Laws degree from Georgetown Law School. A graduate of the Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Brown joined Nabholz in 2019.
Her successor as associate corporate counsel is Dana Nichols, who brings 10 years of law practice to her new employer. Nichols is also a graduate of the Bowen School.
Thomas V. Maxwell, chairman and CEO of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring Inc. of Monticello, is the new president of the Arkansas Forest & Paper Council.
Tammy Waters, manager of communications and government relations at Domtar, is the council’s new vice president, and Lee Pittman, senior regional government relations manager for International Paper, is its secretary-treasurer.
Mark Morris, president and CEO of Morris Transportation Services in Hamburg, was re-elected last month to a second term as chairman of the board of the Arkansas Trucking Association.
Also elected to the board were Michael Barr, CEO of JM Bozeman Enterprises Inc. of Malvern; Rob Kibbe, managing director and client service leader of the transportation and logistics practice for Aon in Little Rock; Lance Moll of Memphis, who recently succeeded John Smith as president and CEO of FedEx Freight; Seth Runser, who recently succeeded retired Tim Thorne as president of ABF Freight in Fort Smith; and Patrick Simmons, vice president of transportation for Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale.
