UA Business Forecast Lunch Set for Jan. 27

The University of Arkansas’ Center for Business & Economic Research will host its 2017 Business Forecast Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.

National and international experts will discuss the economic outlook for the state, nation and world at the event.

The moderator will be Shelley Simpson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell.

Presenting forecasters are Stuart Mackintosh, executive director of international financial think tank Group of Thirty; Chief Economist Ellen Hughes-Cromwick, the Secretary of Commerce’s principal adviser on economic matters and a member of the secretary’s principal management team; and Kathy Deck, director of the university’s Center for Business & Economic Research in the Walton College of Business.
