Capers Restaurant in Little Rock to Close After 28 Years

It’s the end of an era. After nearly 30 years, Capers restaurant will close its doors for good on Saturday, March 29.

The award-winning restaurant and market had been a longtime favorite of the Little Rock food scene since it opened in 1997, known for its fresh seafood dishes, steaks and a wine list that regularly received recognition from Wine Spectator.

Capers was one of three popular eateries (including Cajun’s Wharf in Riverdale and Copper Grill downtown) once led by legendary local chef and restaurateur Mary Beth Ringgold. Months after Cajun’s closed in 2019, leadership of Copper Grill was passed to Dan Kovach, who then took over Capers in 2021.
