Keith Carlson has been hired as the branch manager and vice president of mortgage lending for Guaranteed Rate’s new Little Rock office in the Markham Executive Center at 10201 W. Markham St. Carlson has nearly 10 years in the mortgage lending industry. He was named Top Mortgage Agent by Arkansas Life magazine in 2019 and 2020.
Charlotte Royal has been promoted to vice president and corporate trust officer at Citizens Bank in Batesville. Royal has been involved in the administration of corporate trusts for 10 years. Her responsibilities now also include administration of personal trusts and 401(k) plan relationships, and additional management duties with the trust division.
Melanie Britt has been hired as an assistant vice president and senior personal banker at FNBC Bank in Mountain Home. Britt has more than 34 years of banking experience, including as a teller supervisor, customer service representative and supervisor, and personal banker. She has earned several banking certifications and attended the Arkansas Banker Management School.
Mengyu Ma and Qifeng Wu have been hired as assistant professors of accounting at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Ma was previously an instructor of accounting at Florida International University. Her research interests include financial reporting quality, information environment, equity markets, debt contracting and financial analysts. Wu was an assistant instructor at the University of Texas at El Paso. He conducts research on financial reporting quality, corporate governance and auditing.
