The mammogram business in central Arkansas is about to have a new player.
CARTI, the cancer-treatment provider, plans to announce Monday that it will open The Breast Center at CARTI inside its main Little Rock facility.
CARTI already treats breast cancer discovered by other mammogram providers, said Melissa Masingill, vice president of marketing and business development, but it has not previously offered screening mammograms to the public.
Women will be able to self-refer to the Breast Center at CARTI, Masingill said, and it will be staffed with a fellowship-trained breast radiologist, Dr. Stacy Smith-Foley, a product of Hot Springs Village.
As we reported in “Movers & Shakers” last week, CARTI also has a new breast surgeon, Dr. Jerri Fant.
