Central Baptist College Promotes Two (Movers & Shakers)

J.D. Gray and Amy Reed have been named director of development and annual fund officer at Central Baptist College in Conway.

Gray previously served as development officer at CBC, also working as a direct sales representative for ticket development with the St. Louis Cardinals and assistant for ticketing, operations and marketing for the University of Central Arkansas Athletic Department.

Reed most recently served as the director of enrollment for nontraditional programs at the college. She will begin work Sept. 1, developing donor support and increasing campus fundraising efforts.

In addition, Jessica Faulkner has been named director of campaign activities at CBC, most recently serving as director of special events. Faulkner will be responsible for implementing the capital campaign for the college.

Rikki Turner has been promoted to assistant vice provost for student affairs auxiliary services and senior budget officer at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Turner will oversee the campus housing department, which includes residence halls, campus dining, the Donaghey Student Center, recreational facilities and the campus bookstore.

Jeff Root, dean of humanities at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, has been named interim dean of the Huckabee School of Education for the 2016-17 academic year, following the resignation of Merribeth Bruning. Root has been dean of the School of Humanities since 2002, previously serving as Ouachita’s director of public relations. He has also served as chair of the Arkansas Humanities Council and is currently president of the Arkadelphia Board of Education.
