CFO Ben Barylske Moves to St. Bernards (Movers & Shakers)

Ben Barylske has been chosen as the chief financial officer of St. Bernards Healthcare in Jonesboro. “As a longtime resident of northeast Arkansas, I saw the impact St. Bernards makes in this region and I was happy when the opportunity presented itself to serve as the organization’s chief financial officer,” Barylske said. “As the largest employer in this area, St. Bernards’ financial success is vitally important, so I am honored to continue the great work being done.”

Barylske previously served as chief financial officer of NEA Baptist in Jonesboro. He also served as CFO for the city of Jonesboro from 2010-15, where he used a decade of experience with the Arkansas Division of Legislative Audit to improve the city’s financial system. He was named CFO of the Year by Arkansas Business in 2014 for his work with the city.

Barylske received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arkansas State University. He serves on the board of directors for the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and has served two terms on the finance committee for Walnut Street Baptist Church of Jonesboro, where he is also a member. He has previously served as a volunteer of St. Bernards Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

Dr. Laura Hollenbach has become the first physician in Arkansas certified in pediatric and adolescent gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Hollenbach is an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine and the division director for pediatric and adolescent gynecology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

She earned her medical degree and completed her residency at UAMS and completed a fellowship in pediatric gynecology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Bobbi Chenowith has joined the Baptist Health Women’s Clinic in Fort Smith.

Chenowith has been a registered nurse in women’s health and primary care settings for more than 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and her master’s in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis.

Dr. Joseph Beck has joined the CHI St. Vincent Medical Group Oncology Clinic in Little Rock.

Beck is a medical oncologist with more than 32 years of experience treating cancer in Arkansas. He completed his medical school and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and fellowship in medical oncology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
