Chambers Opening Bank in Van Buren

Speaking of Crawford County, Chambers Bank of Danville is developing a full-service branch in Van Buren.

The $814 million-asset lender entered the market with a loan production office in 2017. The new office is being developed at 2622 Fayetteville Road.

Chambers will expand the competitive field of banks to nine in Van Buren’s $475 million deposit market.

The market share leaders in deposits are Citizens Bank & Trust of Van Buren, 48.5 percent totaling $230.7 million as of June 30; Arvest Bank of Fayetteville, 16.7 percent totaling $79.6 million; Generations Bank, 10.3 percent totaling $49 million; Bank OZK of Little Rock, 9.4 percent totaling $44.8 million; U.S. Bank of Cincinnati, 6.3 percent totaling $30 million.

Chambers Bank recorded a profit of $8.5 million during the first three quarters of 2018. For 2017, the bank reported net income of $10 million.
