Chef Shuttle, the homegrown restaurant-meal delivery service brought to us by Ryan Herget, is trying something new during the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend.
It’s working with RaftUp of Little Rock, which recently debuted a mobile app, to offer “lake delivery” to boaters on Lake Hamilton. Chef Shuttle will deliver meals from Hot Springs-area restaurants to nearby marinas, but we’re told it will also use a boat to meet users on the water.
RaftUp’s app uses location services, like GPS and Google Maps, to create an interactive map with marine-related information that is accessible while on the water.
Whispers understands that the holiday offering is an experiment to assess the feasibility of such a service.
Update, 11:37 a.m., Monday June 27: In a news release issued Monday, Chef Shuttle said it will make lake deliveries to boats on Lake Hamilton and Gregg Orr Marine in Hot Sprigns from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to Monday.
“We don’t want you to miss out on any time on the lake,” Herget said. “Through our new partnership with RaftUp and Gregg Orr, you won’t ever have to leave the water. We’ll deliver your food straight to the marina or your boat.”
The company said existing Chef Shuttle customers will receive an email with a 30-day RaftUp download code and instructions detailing the lake delivery process. Customers can also sign up here.
