CHI St. Vincent Announces Leadership Changes

2 min read

CHI St. Vincent announced several key leadership changes on Tuesday, including a new COO and new leaders at hospitals in Sherwood and Hot Springs.

“We at CHI St. Vincent, along with every institution currently operating in health care, recognize that we must change to meet the long-term challenges facing this industry,” CEO Chad Aduddell said in a news release. “We believe these strategic moves position us well for the future by putting strong clinical and operational leaders in place with the experience and dedication needed to ensure we remain true to our mission and our commitment to excellent, compassionate care for those we serve.”

The changes include:

  • Shawn Barnett, who is now COO. He will also continue as CFO of the health system.
  • Dr. Doug Ross, who is now president of CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. He will also continue as chief medical officer for the health system.
  • Marcia Atkinson, who has been promoted to president of the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute.
  • Chris Stines, who has been promoted to president of CHI St. Vincent North in Sherwood.
  • Bryan Williams, who has been promoted to vice president of Patient Care Services.

The restructuring was prompted by the planned departure of two executive leaders.

Polly Davenport, former COO and president of CHI St. Vincent Infirmary and North, departed on Jan. 2 to accept a role as senior vice president and regional operations officer-Northwest with AMITA Health in Chicago.

Former CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs President Anthony Houston has accepted a position as COO of the group’s sister hospital CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

(Correction: A previous version of this story stated that Shawn Barnett’s new role was that of COO and CFO of the health care system. He was already serving as CFO.)
