CHI St. Vincent Opens 10 Women’s Clinics in South Arkansas

1 min read

CHI St. Vincent on Wednesday announced the opening of 10 clinics in south Arkansas that will offer prenatal and postpartum care for pregnant women in underserved areas.

The regional health provider said in a news release that the ARMOMS clinics aim to improve access to quality health care and help decrease high-risk pregnancy rates in the region.

The clinics will offer prenatal, antenatal, postpartum care and gynecology services through a dedicated team of health care practitioners, including a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, family development specialist and data specialist. Each clinic is overseen by an OB-GYN.

The clinics are funded by a $4 million federal grant. They’re located in the following cities:

  • Amity
  • Bearden
  • DeQueen
  • Fordyce
  • Glenwood
  • Hampton
  • Magnolia
  • Mt. Ida
  • Murfreesboro
  • Nashville

“Every expecting mom should have access to quality care regardless of geography,” Doug Ross, president of CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, said in a statement. “In many rural areas of the state, mothers have little to no access to prenatal and postpartum care. Through these clinics, we aim to change this reality and help establish the best possible beginning for the next generation as they enter the world.”
