
Arkansas Children’s announced that donors of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raised $5.4 million for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Northwest
in 2023.
Over 40 partners, including influential local names, raised $5.42 million for the two hospitals. In a press release, the hospitals highlighted the top donors, including the contributions of Walmart & Sam’s Club, which donated $1.69 million, followed by Log A Load for Kids with $477,436 and Love’s Travel Stops with $410,294.
The total also includes funding from several local events, such as the Arkansas Dance Marathon, Extra Life, radiothons, telethons and others.
In May 2023, Arkansas Children’s announced a $318 million expansion project for the campuses in Little Rock and Springdale. The project features 265,000 SF of new space between the two campuses and about 170,000 SF of renovated space.
Nationally, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals had a record-breaking fundraising year in 2023. The group saw more than $449 million raised in 2023, a 6.9% increase in from $421 million raised in 2022.
Fred Scarborough, executive vice president and chief development officer for Arkansas Children’s, said in the release that the success of these collaborative efforts is a testament to the hard work and dedication of hundreds of volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy to support the cause.
“We are grateful to each of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partners for their dedication to improving child health for the children of Arkansas and beyond,” Scarborough said.
