Have you heard that a new menu item will be added to the roster of Arkansas eateries?
We’re told that Chuy’s (pronounced “chewies”) is on its way to west Little Rock around the Kanis Road-Chenal Parkway area.
The restaurant would mark an Arkansas first for the Tex-Mex chain based in Austin, Texas.
Every location boasts an Elvis shrine and sports a similar funky decor.
However, each restaurant is free of the cookie-cutter mold, with no two Chuy’s built quite the same.
Big as Yo’ Face burritos and tequila-fueled Texas martinis are among the fare at this 40-year-old enterprise.
According to one tally, the project represents Chuy’s No. 31, although we’ve heard it would be No. 40. We couldn’t get an accurate headcount from Chuy’s corporate moving into the Thanksgiving holiday.
Also in the Kanis-Chenal area, we’re told to look for a new Starbuck’s coming soon.
While Little Rock enjoys yet another Starbuck’s location, Jonesboro is getting its first. The 2303 Stadium Blvd. location will be part of the Fairgrounds Redevelopment.
