Chuy’s will open a new restaurant in North Little Rock in March, according to its local owner and operator Dallas Hagar.
Arkansas Business reported in July that the Tex-Max chain planned to add its second central Arkansas location to the spot formerly occupied by a Saturn dealership operated by the Parker Auto Group.
The restaurant, at 5105 Warden Road, is now under construction. It will open almost two years after Chuy’s opened its first Arkansas restaurant on Chenal Parkway in Little Rock. It opened a restaurant in Rogers earlier this year.
“We’re excited to bring Chuy’s to North Little Rock,” Hagar said in a news release. “Ever since we opened the Chuy’s on Chenal Parkway, customers have been begging for us to come to North Little Rock. We can’t wait to bring our authentic Tex-Mex to this community.”
Chuy’s Holdings Inc. is based in Austin, Texas. The publicly traded restaurant chain boasts Little Rock financier Warren Stephens among its investors. In March, Arkansas Business reported that Stephens and various Stephens-related entities had declared ownership of 1,077,879 shares of Chuy’s — 6.6 percent of the company’s outstanding stock.
