City of Little Rock Purchases Office Building in Port Industrial Park for $2.2MLock Icon

Did you know the city of Little Rock acquired a 40,438-SF office building in its Port Industrial Park for $2.2 million?

The vacant 7773 Sloane Drive project was once a call center for Sherwood’s Delta Dental Plan Of Arkansas Inc., which sold the property.

The city’s buy was made with an eye toward converting the property into a resource center to serve the industrial park’s 10,000 workers and employers. The concept originated as part of a 2014 strategic plan to upgrade the port’s amenity package.

Some might recall that the building was the headquarters of R&G Sloane Manufacturing Co., a producer of plastic fittings and pipes.

Back in 1994, R&G’s $17.5 million complex in Little Rock was recognized as the Metal Building Manufacturers Association Building of the Year on the cover of Metal Architecture.
