Clark Smith has been named publisher of the Mena Star.
According to a news release, Smith replaced Joe Ben Oller in late February.
Smith will also oversee the Ouachita Trading Post classifieds, as well as co-owned papers the Mansfield Citizen, The Waldron News and the De Queen Bee.
Smith was most recently circulation director of the Bartlesville Examiner Enterprise in Oklahoma. In the past, he has been publisher at Arkansas newspapers in Helena, Stuttgart, Arkadelphia and Hope. Smith is the father of Paige Henley, account executive with Little Rock Soiree.
