The Clinton Foundation Buys Heifer Headquarters in Downtown Little Rock for $27MLock Icon

A massive purchase by the Clinton Foundation tops the list of this week’s million-dollar real estate and construction transactions.

The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation paid Heifer Project International $27 million for its 118,502-SF headquarters at 1 World Ave., a 20,225-SF office building at 1424 E. Second St. and an 8,880-SF warehouse at 1501 E. Fourth St. in downtown Little Rock.

The Arkansas Times broke the news of the sale in February, but the value of the transaction had not been reported. The Clinton Foundation is planning to use the property to house new, expanded facilities for the Clinton School of Public Service.

A plan to sell the property to an entity affiliated with Lyon College for its veterinary and dental schools fell through in 2023.

CTEH Properties LLC, an affiliate of the Center for Toxicology & Environmental Health, sold its 18,540-SF office at 5120 Northshore Drive in North Little Rock for $2.5 million.

Buyer: Tempus Northshore LLC, led by Isaac Smith.

The Federal National Mortgage Association recovered the 34-unit Eastside Loft Apartments at 1400 Cumberland St. in downtown Little Rock in a $1.2 million foreclosure sale. Former owner? Eastside Loft Apartments Phase II Ltd., led by the now-defunct nonprofit The Arc Arkansas.

Joan Leggett sold her 6,570-SF home in west Little Rock’s Hickory Creek neighborhood to John and Sarah Rainwater for more than $1.2 million.

Aziz and Afreen Lalani purchased a 4,914-SF home in west Little Rock’s Falstone Court neighborhood for more than $1.1 million.
