Clinton National Airport Boasts Fastest Wi-Fi in Country

The Clinton National Airport announced Tuesday it has the fastest free Wi-Fi of any airport in the country.

The airport claimed its tests showed Wi-Fi speeds at Clinton National at 25 megabits per second, per device. Previously, the fastest Wi-Fi speed at a national airport was 4.6 mbps, the airport said. 

Clinton National also announced the launch of a new website, expected to go live Monday. The website will be available to users on desktop computers, smartphones or tablets. With the website, users will be able keep up with flight tracking, information on airport amenities and news. The website was completed by Aristotle of Little Rock and airport staff.

Both improvements come just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, which the airport says is its busiest time of the year.

The airport has plans to complete a $20.6 million renovation of its concourse, including modernized interior, new gate lounge seating, technology enhancements — which included Wi-Fi capabilities — new jet bridges, new arrival and departure information monitors and way finding upgrades.
