Colliers Arkansas on Monday announced it had acquired Gehrki Commercial Real Estate of Hot Springs.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gehrki is a full-service brokerage and management firm founded by Bob Gehrki in 2003. In a news release, Colliers said all of Gehrki’s three employees will be retained and will continue to work from a soon-to-be rebranded office in Hot Springs.
All of Gehrki’s active listings, transactions, developments and management properties will continue to be serviced by the Gehrki team but with additional support from Colliers team members and its resources, the release said.
“The Hot Springs market is a key driver of the central and southern part of the state, and we are so fortunate to partner with the Gehrki team to expand our collective statewide reach,” Isaac Smith, president of Colliers International Arkansas, said in a statement. “Brian and his team have been long-time friends and are a perfect fit with our team. They have built an incredible business and are extremely well-connected as well as prolific real estate practitioners. We look forward to many successes together in 2024 and beyond.”
The deal brings as much as 200,000 SF of commercial property under Colliers’ umbrella. Among the notable properties is a shopping center on Landers Road in Sherwood that includes retailers Unique Furniture and Tractor Supply.
“Our firm is focused on growing the level of service to our clients,” Smith told Arkansas Business. “Prior to Gehrki, we did not have a physical presence to offer our clients in Hot Springs, which is a significant market, like we do in northwest Arkansas and Little Rock.”
As of 2023, Colliers managed more than 20 million SF of commercial space in Arkansas and completed lease and sale transactions worth a combined $786 million.
The acquisition is Colliers’ second in recent months. In September, the company announced a deal to acquire Hathaway Group of Little Rock’s property management business.
