Conveyor Technology to Boost Drum Motor Production With $33M Expansion

1 min read

Conveyor Technology of North Little Rock, the largest independent dealer and repair company for electric drum motors in North America, on Monday dedicated a new $33 million manufacturing center.

The facility will support production of a proprietary line of drum motors, produced under the Tech-Roll brand name. The project is expected to create 100 new jobs, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission said in a news release. Conveyor Technology currently employs 33 people.

Little Rock investment firm FoxDen Capital backed the project.

Justin Carmody, founder of CEO of the Conveyor Technology, said the expansion will help the company reach its goal of $54 million in annual revenue.

Company executives joined Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, state officials and local leaders for Monday’s dedication ceremony.

Carmody founded Conveyor Technology in 1994. The company is the only U.S.-based manufacturer of electric drum motors.

The company also sells and services major brands of electric and hydraulic drum motors, such as Interroll, Sparks, Rulmeca and Tech-Roll. Clients include Kellogg’s, Cargill, FedEx, Goodyear, Butterball and the U.S. Postal Service.
