Conway Chamber, Development Corporation Hires New Senior VP, Counsel

1 min read

The Conway Chamber of Commerce and Conway Development Corporation recently hired a new senior vice president and general counsel.

Luke Ferguson, most recently a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 20th Judicial District, joined the Chamber and CDC on Feb. 3 in the position.

The Greenbrier native will be responsible for contract review and negotiation, risk management and human resources. In addition, Ferguson will aid with economic development activities, such as the proposed Central Landing.

President and CEO of the Chamber and CDC Brad Lacy said the addition of Ferguson was a strategic one that will benefit the organizations as they continue to grow.

“As events like Toad Suck Daze continue to grow and as we become involved in complex projects like Central Landing, it is helpful to have legal knowledge on staff,” Lacy said in a Feb. 17 release announcing the hire.

Ferguson earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Arkansas, and his J.D. at the William H. Bowen School of Law.

“I’m honored to be working with the Chamber and CDC and hope to personally contribute to the progress these organizations will continue to foster in Conway,” Ferguson said in the release.
