Conway Regional Adds Ahmed Ali to Med Staff (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Ahmed A. Ali recently joined the medical staff at Conway Regional Medical Center. Ali is an internal medicine specialist and former director of the hospitalist program at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

He will serve patients at the Conway medical center as well as at his outpatient clinic.


Karyn Johnson has joined the operations team at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison as director of clinic operations. Hilary Cleaver and Rebecca Davidson were also named physician practice manager and rural health clinics coordinator.

Johnson began her career in health care at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri, and joined NARMC in 2014 as a clinic financial analyst manager.

Cleaver served as a medical laboratory technician in Mountain Home, later moving to Crossroads Medical Clinic in Harrison as a clinic manager.

Davidson joined NARMC in 2009 at Newton County Family Practice with Dr. James Justice. In her new position she will help meet the health care needs of clinics in Lead Hill (Boone County), Marshall (Searcy County) and Jasper (Newton County).

In addition, Deana Thomas has been promoted to vice president of financial services and chief financial officer at NARMC. Prior to joining NARMC, Thomas served as director of accounting at Lake Regional Health System. She has worked as a controller at NARMC since 2013.

Also, Joshua Bright, director of pharmacy services at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, was recently appointed to the Arkansas Association of Hospital Pharmacists Practice Advancement Initiative Committee.

The committee works to develop and test models that will result in greater safety and efficiency in providing pharmacy care to patients.

Bright is a founding member of the Boone County Diabetes Collaborative, a member of the board of directors of the North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education, a member of the American Pharmacists Association and a member of the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists.
