Conway Regional Completes $10M Capital Campaign

2 min read

The Conway Regional Health Foundation announced the completion of a three-year capital campaign that raised more than $10 million for the health system.

The Growing Together Campaign focused on providing innovative services, expanding access to  health care, and recruiting new specialists to the community, the foundation said in a news release. It fully funded the  expansion of the system’s clinical laboratory and the opening of a new behavioral health unit at Conway Regional Medical Center.

“This campaign elevated the Foundation to new levels of fundraising and has raised the bar for what we will do in the future,” Maegan Dyson, chief development officer for Conway Regional, said in the release. “It calls us forward to new levels of service for our patients, our employees, and our community, and we look forward to the challenge.”

The campaign also supported Conway Regional’s Graduate Medical Education program and the completion of a new 24-bed intensive care unit, with capacity to expand in the  future.

Two of the largest gifts in the system’s history came during the campaign from the The Sunderland Foundation and the Mabee Foundation. Additionally, more than 1,000 employees and physicians donated to the campaign, contributing nearly $1 million in total.

The campaign co-chairs were Charlie Nabholz, chairman emeritus of Nabholz Construction Co. of Conway, and Dr. Mike Stanton.

“Conway Regional has provided health care to Nabholz  Construction Company ever since it was founded,” Nabholz said in the release. “The successful campaign demonstrated to our employees that Conway Regional would be able to continue to provide first class health care.”
