Conway Regional Health System Buys Renaissance Women’s Center

1 min read

Conway Regional Health System said Wednesday that it has acquired Renaissance Women’s Center, effective Aug. 3.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Per the deal, Conway Regional will manage and oversee all operations of the center. The doctors and nurses who will remain at the center include Dr. Michael Wood, Dr. Courtney Sick and Megan Moix, APRN. Dr. Kala Slayton joined the practice as of Monday.

Conway Regional said it expects no staffing changes as a result of the transition. Wood founded the center in 2011.

“We are excited about this partnership with Conway Regional,” Wood said in a news release. “This opportunity allows our clinic and Conway Regional to continue growing together to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Our goal at the Renaissance Women’s Center is unchanged and that is to provide compassionate, personal attention to each patient through each phase of her life: preteen, adolescent, adulthood, pregnancy, and menopause.”

The 9,350-SF center is located at 2300 Robinson Ave., next door to the Conway Regional, and offers obstetrics, gynecological and in-office procedures. The physicians deliver babies and perform outpatient and inpatient surgical services at Conway Regional.

“Partnerships are what make our community successful and organization stronger,” Conway Regional CEO Matt Troup said. “After a long-standing relationship with Renaissance Women’s Center and their physicians, the time was right for us to come together in a more formal way.”
