Conway’s Second Chick-fil-A Opens Thursday

After 10 years with only one location, Conway’s second Chick-fil-A restaurant opens Thursday.

The restaurant, at 2510 Prince St., will feature the fast food chain’s latest interior design and seat 139 customers indoors, along with another 40 outside. The location will also have a playground, and two drive-thru ordering lanes that feed into one pickup lane. 

Alan Kizer, the owner and operator of Conway’s other Chick-fil-A location at 1115 E. Oak St., will hold the same title at the Prince Street location. Kizer has been an operator for the fast food chain for 23 years.

The restaurant will employ 60 workers, and be open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Breakfast will be served until 10:30 a.m. During the fall, the restaurant — which is located a short distance from the Conway Senior High School — says it will remain open until 11 p.m. on nights the high school football team plays at home.

To kick off the new location’s opening, Chick-fil-A is hosting a First 100 event, which will award a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals to each of the first 100 customers, 18 years or older, in line at 6 a.m. Thursday. The Oak Street location was the highest-grossing restaurant in Conway last year with $4.4 million in sales. Through April, it’s No.1, again, with $1.5 million in sales.

Chick-fil-A operates 29 restaurants in Arkansas. Its first location opened in 1982 inside a Hot Springs mall.
