Courtney Brown joined City Year Little Rock as its director of impact. Brown will lead program delivery at partner schools and support AmeriCorps member services.
Carmen Hamilton-Parks has been named development director for the central Arkansas Go Red for Women campaign of the American Heart Association. Parks was most recently a fundraising professional and events coordinator at Philander Smith College of Little Rock.
The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock has appointed six members to the board of trustees. Stan Hastings, incoming president, and Le’Kita Brown, incoming vice president, will join four other new members: Beau Blair, chief operating officer and executive vice president of McLarty Diversified Holdings; Jacqueline Retzer, board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and CASA of Pine Bluff; Steve Ronnel, president of Metal Recycling Corp.; and Derrick Smith, partner at Mitchell Williams Selig Gates & Woodyard.
Chris Norwood, vice president of Tipton & Hurst of Little Rock, has received the Award for Distinguished Service to the Floral Industry from the American Institute of Floral Designers. Norwood is the first person from Arkansas to receive the award.
