COVID Cancels Cajun’s OccupantLock Icon

1 min read

Hark back to a time long ago, to Jan. 27, 2020, to be precise, that blissful time before words like “COVID” and “pivot” became part of everyday speech.

On that date, Whispers reported that an announcement was “expected soon” on the new tenant for the former 20,000-SF Cajun’s Wharf space in Little Rock, a group that wanted to use it for a restaurant and entertainment venue.

And then … the pandemic.

Well, Alex Blass, a principal at the commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners, told us last week that, unsurprisingly, the “entertainment group fell out during Covid.” The space is now being offered as a “white box” commercial space, he said.

We retain fond memories of the spot located right on the Arkansas River, as do, no doubt, many in Arkansas. Perhaps it can find new life soon.
