Coy’s Steakhouse Reopening Pushed BackLock Icon

1 min read

Regular readers of Arkansas Business may have observed that the reborn Coy’s Steakhouse at the Hotel Hot Springs did not open on the hoped-for date of Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day.

But regular readers also know that all projects take longer than you think they will, particularly those involving restaurants.

Keith Holland, owner of the hotel and the Little Rock businessman behind what he calls “Coy’s 2.0,” told us: “Instead of trying to pin down a specific date, we are now saying that it’s going to be open in spring. Hopefully we can hit a target that big!”

The original, and beloved, Coy’s was destroyed by fire in 2009. The restaurant, which opened in 1945, was inducted into the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame in 2022 in the Gone but Not Forgotten category.

Holland had fond memories of the original Coy’s and decided to revive it after buying the Hotel Hot Springs last April.
