Crews & Associates Expands Public Finance to Virginia

Crews & Associates of Little Rock, the investment banking subsidiary of Searcy-based First Security Bancorp, announced it has expanded its public finance operation to Virginia.

The company hired R.T. Taylor of Chester, Virginia, as managing director for public finance in its Virginia office. Taylor will focus on serving municipal clients in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.

Since 2004, Taylor has specialized in public finance throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, Crews & Associates said in a news release. He has assisted government entities with a “myriad of undertakings,” providing services such as comprehensive financial reviews; establishing and enhancing financial policies with credit markets in mind; assessing and evaluating a wide array of tax-exempt and taxable projects; and developing strategies for debt issuance.

Taylor began his professional career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in 1999, analyzing the financials of numerous clients throughout various industries

Taylor attended Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Virginia, and received his bachelor’s in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
