Dakota Swearengin Named VP of Commercial Lending at Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank of Batesville announced that Dakota Swearengin of Lowell, who joined the company in November 2020, has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending.

In his new role, Swearengin will shape the commercial lending division with the aim of driving profitable growth and maintaining the asset quality of the bank’s loan portfolio. He was previously assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

“Dakota is a team-player and his contributions to the growth of the northwest Arkansas market are remarkable,” Nathan Harris, Fayetteville city president at Citizens Bank, said in a news release. “His helpful, positive attitude has made a tremendous impact on our organization, and his work ethic and job performance have proved he is ready to take on more responsibility and expand his role.”

Before joining Citizens Bank, Swearengin worked at Bank OZK, climbing the ranks from teller to consumer/small business lender over four years.

He’s a graduate of Leadership Fayetteville Class XXXVI, a program of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he’s an active member of the Habitat for Humanity Construction Committee in Washington County.
