The Rose Law Firm on Monday announced that David Mitchell Jr. had been elected as the firm’s new managing member.
Mitchell assumes the role on Feb. 1. He succeeds Robyn Allmendinger, who is stepping down after four years in the position, the firm said in a news release.
Allmendinger was the firm’s first female managing member. She will continue as a member of its management committee.
The firm said Mitchell, who joined the organization in 2015, is one of the youngest managing members in its history. His focus will be on advancing the firm’s growth strategy across practice groups and sectors of industry expertise. The full-service firm has locations in Little Rock and Fayetteville.
“Our firm benefited greatly from Robyn’s leadership in navigating us through an unprecedented time during our nation’s history,” Mitchell said in the release. “She elevated our firm’s future with her intellect, vision, wisdom and sense of fairness. We are extremely grateful for her service and her continued commitment to the firm.”
Mitchell’s practice is concentrated in business, financial services and class action litigation. He also represents financial institutions and other creditors in both litigation and restructuring, as well as insolvency matters including cases involving commercial workouts, receiverships and bankruptcies.
Mitchell previously served as head of the firm’s litigation department and chair of its lateral hiring committee.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He holds a bachelor’s in politics from Washington and Lee University in Virginia.
“David has excelled in every leadership role he has served in at the firm through his dedication and future-focused vision,” Allmendinger said. “We are all excited to see where his fresh and bold energy will take us.”
