Erik Dees has been appointed to program manager for Milestone Leadership in Siloam Springs. Most recently, Dees served as a nonprofit executive in San Diego. Prior to that, he spent 18 years in the logistics division at Walmart, working in warehouse operations while specializing in leadership development.
Amber Ebbrecht has joined the Beaver Water District in Lowell as the assistant education coordinator. Ebbrecht will help the education coordinator and the public affairs director deliver education programming and outreach on drinking water and source water protection, as well as lead tours of the district’s Water Education Center and drinking water treatment plants.
Ebbrecht has a bachelor’s from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a license in pre-K-12 education from the Arkansas Department of Education. Her professional experience includes serving as director of education and outreach at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, volunteer coordinator at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area and eight years as an educator in the Fayetteville School District. In 2017, Ebbrecht received a Fayetteville School District Above & Beyond Award.
Ryan Cassell has been named vice president of enrollment and dean of admissions at Hendrix College in Conway. He comes to Hendrix from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he has worked since 2009 and most recently as associate dean of admission.
During Cassell’s tenure at Sewanee, the number of applications increased from 2,800 to more than 4,900.
Rolf Wigand, professor emeritus of information science, business information systems and management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, was awarded the Distinguished Member Cum Laude award by the Association of Information Systems at the association’s annual conference in Munich.
