Denali Acquires Florida Composter

1 min read

Denali Water Solutions LLC of Russellville, through its wholly owned subsidiary WeCare Denali LLC, has acquired GreenCare Recycling of Fort Myers, Florida.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

It’s the latest in a series of acquisitions for the specialty waste and environmental services provider that’s looking to grow annual revenue from $400 million to $1 billion. Denali has announced six other out-of-state buys in the past year, giving it access to permits and business relationships in places where it didn’t have a presence.

The GreenCare deal continues the expansion of WeCare Denali’s composting footprint across North America to 24 locations.

“Denali is continuing our quest to make the world a better place by repurposing waste responsibly,” President Jeffrey LeBlanc said in a news release. “Bringing GreenCare Recycling into the Denali family is consistent with our overall strategy and allows us to divert valuable organic waste from landfills.

“We continue to increase the number of facilities under our management that recycle organic waste into valuable products, such as compost, soil, and mulch. This acquisition supports our goal to expand and diversify our sustainable waste management services.”

GreenCare Recycling has been serving commercial and residential customers in southwest Florida since 1990. It creates sustainable landscape supplies such as compost, mulch, potting soil and custom soil blends by recycling leaf and yard waste and other organic residuals. It has commercial and residential customers in counties including Lee, Collier and Charlotte.
