
Denise Thomas
Denise Thomas, CEO of the World Trade Center Arkansas, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Little Rock Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Thomas will fill the unexpired portion of a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2023.
The Little Rock Branch’s board of directors helps the St. Louis Fed monitor economic conditions in the area. Branch activities include conducting regional economic research and gathering monetary policy input from business leaders across Arkansas, promoting financial stability for low- and moderate-income communities and individuals, and providing economic education.
Thomas is the first Black woman to become CEO of a World Trade Center in the U.S. She has held the role since July 2021.
Thomas was senior recruiter at Walmart before she joined the World Trade Center Arkansas in 2007 as one of its first staff members. She previously oversaw the division of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce in Florida.
